New Relationship Will Deliver Fast, Comprehensive Web Solutions
to Emerging Dot-Com and Established Brick and Mortar Businesses
C-bridge Internet Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:CBIS), the leading c-Commerce solutions provider, today announced its strategic alliance with Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:SUNW), a world-class supplier of industrial-strength hardware, software, and services that power the Internet and allow companies worldwide to ".com" their businesses.
Commitment to Joint Development and Marketing
As a result of this alliance, Sun(TM) and C-bridge will work to jointly develop and market solutions based on C-bridge's robust, knowledge-based iSolutions and powered by Sun's market-leading Internet platforms to deliver fast, comprehensive c-commerce solutions to emerging dot.coms, as well as established brick and mortar businesses. C-bridge will join Sun's iForce(TM) initiative, a select group of iForce eIntegrators, to deliver Web consulting and integration services.
C-bridge and Sun will join forces in sales, marketing, and educational efforts relevant to the development of new solutions sets. Both companies have committed financial and human resources to support the marketing of these solutions through a series of executive seminars, due to launch late summer, 2000. The educational offerings will focus on the business value derived from the expansion of brick and mortar companies into Internet markets.
"Sun's expertise in the dot.com arena, combined with C-bridge's ability to consult with large clients at a high level, identify Internet business value, and deploy proven methodologies will provide powerful solutions for our joint customers," said Lynn O'Connor, director, Northeast Partner Region for Sun Microsystems. "The synergy between C-bridge's leadership in delivering c-Commerce solutions, particularly to online trade exchanges, and Sun's products and technology is outstanding."
C-bridge Joins the iForce
As part of Sun's iForce initiative, C-bridge works with Sun's worldwide sales force, as well as their community of partners to satisfy clients' requirements. Sun's market-leading server platform has the proven scalability required by today's sophisticated Internet applications. Utilizing the Sun platform and working with Sun and their community of IT partners adds tremendous resources to C-bridge's strong diagnostic and deployment capabilities.
"This collaboration presents tremendous opportunity for C-bridge, but the real winners here are our customers," said Mark Cosway, C-bridge executive vice president. "Working with Sun to develop iSolutions that satisfy vertical and horizontal business initiatives is an assurance to our clients that our solutions can and will grow to meet their needs."
C-bridge iSolutions
C-bridge's mission is to enable clients to expand market opportunities, improve business process efficiencies, and create new ways to retain customers through the innovative use of emerging technologies.
A C-bridge iSolution is a blueprint that defines both the business and technical architecture for an industry vertical solution. The components of the blueprint include Strategy, Workflow, and Technology. C-bridge gains leverage through the iSolution approach by having an architectural framework that gives the ability to capture a winning strategy, innovate on that strategy, and operationalize the strategy extremely quickly. During delivery, platform and the domain components are assembled within the iSolution to deploy the target business strategy. The C-bridge alliance program is structured to work with both innovators and segment leaders in selecting components that will give our clients distinct competitive advantage.
