Dialogic Announces CT Server Starter Kit With Incentive Program From Compaq; Industry leaders team to help developers get their CT solutions to market faster - Company Business and Marketing

Dialogic, an Intel company, Tuesday announced that with support from Compaq Computer Corporation, it is offering computer telephony (CT) developers a head start on deploying applications for standards-based open telephony servers. With the award-winning CT Media telephony server software Starter Kit from Dialogic and membership in the Compaq Solutions Alliance (CSA) partner program, telephony application developers can get their products to market more quickly and easily on Compaq servers based on Windows NT.

Named "Best New Development Resource" at CT Expo in March in Los Angeles, the Starter Kit package includes the CT Media software development kit (SDK), testing hardware, full documentation, and five deployment server licenses. Compaq has enhanced the package with a set of valuable incentives to join the Compaq Solutions Alliance program.

"Industry leaders Compaq and Dialogic, are working together to expand the CT market, providing added value to our individual and mutual customers," said Rose Ann Giordano, vice president of Communications Industry Solutions, Compaq. "The launch of the Dialogic CT Media Starter Kit incentive program for the applications developer community will attract leading-edge ISVs to this emerging open systems market."

Industry Leadership

As market leaders in their respective fields, the two companies have been working together to bring truly open, standards-based computer telephony servers to the market. Dialogic and Compaq are co-founders of the Enterprise Computer Telephony Forum (ECTF), an organization committed to promoting the importance of standards and interoperability in the CT market. The starter kit program marks the first in a series of incentives that will encourage companies to develop applications for CT Servers.

The Next Wave

CT Servers are the next wave in business communications development. They offer benefits to application and system developers and end users alike. While developers are assisted in getting their products to market in a timely manner, end users of the systems gain the advantage of being able to select "best-of-breed" applications with the assurance that they will work well together.

Building the "Value Network"

The starter kit incentives being offered by Dialogic and Compaq help further growth of the computer telephony "value network." The value network comprises servers, applications, supporting hardware, technology and services that serve the CT system owner. Compaq welcomes Dialogic's CT Server developers into CSA. CSA membership entitles these developers to specific, valuable benefits including significant discounts on development servers purchased in conjunction with Dialogic's award-winning CT Media Starter Kit.

"Since we first announced plans to jointly develop and market applications-ready telephony servers, we've been working closely with Compaq. This is the next logical phase in our partnership," states Dean Trumbull, vice president, CT Switch Products, Dialogic Corporation. "The developing value network of CT products and services will drive further expansion of the computer telephony market segment by providing CT Server owners the resources they demand for obtaining, maintaining and extending the communications-driven applications that make their business more competitive."
