Fujitsu Adds AJB Software to Pervasive RetailingTM Framework

Integrating AJB’s Applications with Fujitsu’s GlobalSTORE Simplifies Deployment and Speed-to-Market

SAN DIEGO – Jan. 30, 2006 – Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. announced a reseller partnership with AJB Software Design Inc., an industry leader in retail payment systems and the movement of data. Under terms of the agreement, Fujitsu will integrate AJB’s enterprise applications with its own software, services and hardware offerings.

Fujitsu will seamlessly integrate these solutions into its GlobalSTORE application and Pervasive RetailingTM Framework (PRF), a newly announced, unified set of software, tools and services that enables real-time retailing interoperability. Fujitsu’s PRF helps retailers minimize the time, risk and costs of creating interoperability between disparate applications and devices – even in legacy settings where multiple platforms from numerous vendors are typically deployed.

AJB’s solutions lineup includes three primary offerings: the Retail Transaction Switch (RTS); the Retail Polling Module (RPM); and the Flexible Integrated Payment Suite (FiPAY). RTS is a multi-purpose transaction switch that performs real-time authorization for a variety of transaction types from numerous sources, over any communication medium, and prepares them for any destination.

RPM allows retailers to move large volumes of critical data between head office, points of sale (POS) and the Retail Transaction Switch (RTS). FiPAY is a store-level communication gateway interfacing the merchant’s PIN pad devices, point-of-sale (POS) system, RTS network and financial institutions.

“We’ve enjoyed a great working relationship with Fujitsu over the years and have been truly impressed with the track record and momentum they’ve achieved in the retail industry,” said Naresh Bangia, president and founder of AJB Software Design Inc. “Partnering with Fujitsu enables us to better our product offering, meet the dynamic needs of retailers and enjoy continued growth in the market.”

“Identifying and partnering with best-of-breed solutions providers is a cornerstone of our Pervasive Retailing strategy,” said Austen Mulinder, president and CEO of Fujitsu Transaction Solutions. “Leveraging the Pervasive Retailing Framework to integrate AJB software will enable retailers to expedite the deployment of credit authorization software in their store systems.”
